Watt NextSURVEY & REPORT BUILDER
Watt Next survey and DNO service

For new appointments, Adrian Bruce, trading as Watt Next, provides the survey/report and manages the DNO application with signed customer authority. The chosen installer approves the technical design and final price, then contracts with and invoices the customer separately. Proposed installer-funded remuneration is 10% of the agreed installation value excluding VAT, including the conditional service fee already received. The installer gives the customer the matching £495-per-application installation credit. Written installer agreement required; existing saved agreements retain their original terms.

Records save in this browser on this device, separately from Watts Matter. Export backups regularly. Shared CRM, academy and supporting pages are still awaiting transfer. The standalone completed example and sample proposal PDF have not been copied; transfer a calculator recommendation to start a proposal.

FROM FIRST VISIT TO CUSTOMER REPORT

Survey once. Report clearly.

Free assessment → authorise the DNO-first package → full survey report → final installation decision. £495 per agreed application, payable only on an acceptable DNO outcome; no separate survey charge.

Start with a blank survey or transfer a fictional example from the Watt Next calculator. Choose a saved customer record or New customer for real work. Records and photographs are saved on this device and browser. They do not sync with other team members or devices. Export a backup to retain or transfer your work.
Completed demonstration loaded by default. All example details are editable. Your saved customer records remain in the Customer record menu; select one to continue real work.

New unsaved record

74 example inputs still need review. Red text and the Example value label show what remains. Editing or choosing Reviewed clears the mark; this records your review, not technical verification. Saving retains progress. Record type stays SIMULATION until you deliberately change it for a real customer.

Customer

Please ask the client for existing building records.

Request the current asbestos register, management plan and relevant survey reports; also request roof structural reports / calculations, original or as-built drawings, roof specifications, alteration records and roof warranties, if available. Ask the landlord, managing agent or original building designer where needed.

Receiving a report is not approval: check its date, scope, exclusions and coverage of the roof, fixings and cable routes. A competent asbestos adviser should determine whether the planned work needs a targeted refurbishment survey. A structural engineer must assess the proposed PV, mounting / ballast, permanent rail, wind / snow and temporary loading. A drone roof-condition survey or mounting-supplier layout alone does not establish building load capacity.

Start with an engineer’s review of existing information, then agree any site visit, investigation or calculations required. Approve extra professional fees before commissioning and record the allowance here; these notes do not add a cost to the calculator automatically. Upload available reports in Evidence.

Your report

Watt Next Care is a separate agreement.

Where selected, the customer contracts directly with and pays Adrian Bruce, trading as Watt Next, monthly from commissioning, including for cash installations. Separate written acceptance is required. It is not accepted by signing the DNO-first authority. Confirm the service schedule, response times, price, VAT, term, cancellation and price reviews. Replacement equipment, remedial repairs, emergency visits and specialist access are extra unless expressly included. Maintenance already deducted in the forecast must not be deducted again.

Check the preview, then download a branded draft PDF. Each successful download retains a dated revision on this device. A report does not authorise installation or take payment.

The whole proposal as a PDF document

1. Prepare the PDF, then review its filename and reference. 2. Choose Share PDF and select WhatsApp if your device offers it. Choose the recipient and press Send in WhatsApp. The phone number above does not preselect the recipient in the device sharing menu.

On a laptop, or if WhatsApp is not offered: download the PDF, open the customer’s WhatsApp chat, choose the + / paperclip → Document, select the downloaded PDF, then review and send. You can also drag the PDF into WhatsApp Web. Opening the text-summary shortcut does not attach the PDF. The device share passes the PDF; copy your message separately if needed. No public document link is created.

Direct email sending: not connected yet

Download the email draft with the proposal PDF attached. Open it in a compatible desktop email app, choose your sending account, review and send. Some apps open .eml files as received messages; use Forward and check the recipient, or copy the text and attach the PDF manually. Gmail in a browser usually needs the manual option.

Opening WhatsApp or downloading a draft does not confirm sending. Mark as sent only after you have sent it yourself. No delivery or read receipt is inferred.

Adrian Bruce operates independently under the Watt Next trading name. Watt Next is not currently a registered limited company.
